I recently picked up a Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain and decided to do swatches of my Revlon Colorburst collection. You can pick these up at your local drugstore and they come in a wide array of colors and finishes.
The Revlon Colorburst family has three different balms: the Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain, the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm, and the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm. I have one color of each formulation. The Revlon Colorburst Balm Stains infuse the lips with long lasting, staining color. The Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms give the lips intense shine and a glossy finish. The Revlon Matte Balm provides a very rich and matte finish. The finishes of each different balm can be indicated by the slight variation in packaging.
Excuse the worn out tip of some of them, as they did receive some previous loving from me. These Revlon Colorburst Balms are chubby lip crayons that twist up from the bottom, so no sharpening is needed.
The colors I picked up are: Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in Rendezvous, Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Provocateur, and Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Sultry. Below are quick swatches of each balm on my arm:
The swatches of the first two balms are definitely more sheered out whereas the Sultry Matte Balm is very true to color from the packaging.
Although quite intimidating in the packaging, Rendezvous gives the lips a hint of orange tint. This can be worn quite sheer for a more peachy effect or built up for a bolder orange hue lip.
Provocateur is a bright red cherry color with blue undertones. It gives an ultra glossy finish and can be worn sheer or built up for a more vibrant red lip.
Sultry is a gorgeous deep MLBB (my lips but better) color. It’s a deep rose color with brown undertones and would look amazing on all skin tones. The finish leaves lips matte but not dry, just be sure to exfoliate.
