I got suckered in… I really didn’t need anymore eyeshadow palettes, but who could resist 50% off?! (No longer on sale) After seeing beautiful swatches of Coastal Scents new Revealed 2 palette all over Instagram, I decided to get one for myself!
The palette has a cardboard packaging with a magnetic closure. Mine was a little crooked, but it didn’t bother me too much. The packaging feels a little bit flimsy, but also wasn’t a deal breaker. Inside the palette are 20 eyeshadows, ranging from mattes to shimmers. A mirror was not included on the inside but would have been appreciated.
Here’s a closer look of the eyeshadows in the palette. The top row consists of your lighter shades and are more pink or golden toned. The bottom row has your warmer, darker mauve and brown/black tones.
Here are swatches of the top row in the order as they appear in the palette. Some of the lighter, matte shades didn’t show up as well on my fair/light skin. Due to their pinky tones, a lot of the shades in this palette can definitely be considered dupes for the Naked 3 palette.
Here are swatches of the bottom row. These are definitely a lot more pigmented and will have no problems showing up on any skin tone.
And finally here’s a quick look using the Revealed 2 palette. If you number the eyeshadows from left to right, here are the shades used to achieve this look:
#1: Apply to brow bone and inner tear duct
#7: Apply all over eyelid
#6: Place in crease as a transition color
#18: Place right under transition color for more depth
#2: Blend transition color with brown bone color
#13: Apply to outer v for dimension. Also apply to lower lash line to blend out eyeliner
#18: Layer over outer v for more depth
Blend everything out with a clean brush. Follow with eyeliner and mascara and you’re done!
This palette definitely has some beautiful colors and I can’t wait to create more looks with it! Be sure to grab one for yourself at the Coastal Scents website before they’re all gone!
