Manicure Monday – Wet n Wild Candy-licious/Rose bonbon

By Tuesday, May 6, 2014 0 Permalink 0

Welcome to the first installation of Manicure Monday! One disclaimer: though this segment is called Manicure Monday, a new nail post will not occur every Monday; because c’mon, let’s face it, who has time to do maintain their nails every week?! And I do like to give my nails a break every now and then since my nails tend to chip often. But I will try to get a post up as often as I can!

As you will soon figure out, my favorite brand of nail polish is none other than the Wet n Wild Megalast collection! These nail polishes are so great! The color payoff from one swipe is awesome, they dry quickly and last a long time without chipping, the wide brush makes application super quick and simple, and they are super affordable! I mean, what’s not to love? If you haven’t checked them out yet, I would highly recommend them! Now let’s move onto the real post!

Wet n Wild Megalast Candy-licious

Since spring is upon us, I thought it was quite appropriate to flaunt pink and girly nails! The color I chose was Wet n Wild Megalast in Candy-licious/Rose bonbon (209C). This is a vibrant pink that is super spring appropriate. I used two coats here.

Wet n Wild Megalast in Candy-licious/Rose bonbon China Glaze in Material Girl

For my accent nail, I chose China Glaze in Material Girl (1050). This polish is a clear polish with pale pink glitters. What makes this glitter polish unique is that its glitters are all different shapes and sizes. You have your sand like fine glitters, small circle glitters and more hexagon shaped larger glitters. I had to use a couple coats of this to get it to the opacity that I wanted. To secure the glitters in place I used Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri Anti Chip Coat.

I think this nail combination is so cute and girly and definitely perfect for spring. What’s your favorite spring nail color?
