Today’s quick review is on Loreal’s Voluminous Butterfly Waterproof Mascara in blackest black. This is one of Loreal’s newest mascara and has received some mixed hype over social media, so I decided to give it a try for myself.
From the Ulta website, this mascara claims to:
“Stretches Lashes to Corner
Wing Tip Brush Lengthens, Stretches and Volumizes Every Lash
Up to 6X the Volume
Every Lash Extended for a Dramatic Lash Fringe”
One of the unique things about this mascara is definitely the brush. This mascara has a “wing” tip brush, meaning one end is skinny and flares out at the end, which is supposed to help coat and lash each lash.
As unique and revolutionary this brush is, there is quite the learning curve. I found this brush a little hard to use, especially for my left eye, as I am unfortunately not ambidextrous.
After I was able to get over the learning curve, I really did come to like this mascara! After two coats, my lashes look longer and fuller. There was some nice separation as well. My only complaint would be that the brush isn’t very lower lash friendly.
I generally like the Loreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara. My curls hold up nice and this mascara lengthens and provides volume. Though I like this mascara, I don’t gravitate towards it often because I feel like I need to use a different mascara for my lower lashes. But definitely something that’s worth giving a try!
